Hello everyone! I would like to share my experience with the low tweeters on ohm model i vintage speakers. I obtained a pair of Ohm Walsh Model i speakers in beautiful condition, had to drive 245 miles from Hallandale Florida to Daytona Beach Florida because couldn’t resist the addiction without even listening to them.
My good audiophile friend, Virgil was telling me so many amazing things about them, so when I so a pair for sale, I went there right away without hesitating or waiting another second. Not too often they appear for sale if ever and I am soo happy I got them!!!
After driving back home and connected it, I found out that one of the Low tweeters are blown and here the journey started…
The original low tweeters are unobtainable and you can get a replacement from Ohmspeakers but they are charging $499 for a pair.
what you get from them is basically a Wavecor Tweeter model TW030WA02, I will add a link later. Its a shame that I was not able to find any of them available from PE, who are their distributors, because they are on the back order there and also from a canada distributors for same exact reason.I found it in Austarlia from Wavecor distributor soundlabsgroup.com.au and paid extra $70 for shipping, shame on our distributors!
If you have any questions please PM me.
Thank you
